Selena Gomez's engagement manicure is a sheer bridal perfection

If you were to look at Selena Gomez's Instagram right now, I want to know the first thing you would see” A giant diamond perches on her left hand. Eternity begins now...” In a photo carousel captioned, “The first thing you'll see is that I'm engaged to my longtime partner, Benny Blanco,” the Rare Beauty entrepreneur admitted. But it seems the first thing that caught her eye was not the marquise-cut engagement ring, but the bridal manicure on her nose.

The look was courtesy of Gomez's go-to manicurist, Tom Bacic, and was the same polish she wore to the Chanel Academy Women's Luncheon on December 10, just hours before Blanco proposed.

To set the foundation, her nails were cut short and filed into a soft almond shape using Bacic's Tweezerman travel nail care set. For color, she chose Chanel's Sheer Pink Ballerina. Finally, Bacik applied Le Gelcoat for shine and Yuille de Jazmine oil to her hands.

As for how Gomez managed to give herself the perfect engagement manicure for the moment, it was “gut feeling.” When I asked Bacik if Gomez knew the Big Question was coming or if her nails were just a coincidence, he replied, “It was a little of both.”

Be that as it may, it was a very sweet evening. Singer published a photo of what appears to be Blanco shortly after he proposed. She is wearing a fur coat and light jeans, sitting on a picnic blanket, and has a big smile on her face as she gazes at her new ring.

While this sheer pink shade is perfect for brides (and endorsed by the royal family), even those who prefer a more neutral manicure should have some sheer pink or beige in their home nail kit. These minimalist shades look great for any occasion (including engagement shoots). If you're someone who doesn't necessarily do their nails on a set schedule, these shades won't be too noticeable when the nail polish grows out. For those who want to emulate the sparkle of Selena Gomez's engagement manicure, I've put together a few of my favorites.
