Taylor Swift pays the sweetest tribute to Travis Kells in her VMA acceptance speech.

Taylor Swift unintentionally went “so high school” while giving boyfriend Travis Kells an adorable shout-out at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

The pop superstar took home the honor of Video of the Year for her collaboration with Post Malone, “Fortnight,” released on The Tortured Poets Department, at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 11. In accepting this prestigious award, Swift spoke about her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Post Malone and how supportive he has been.

In her speech, Swift recalled Kelce's involvement in the filming of a music video she wrote and directed. “This video seems so sad to me,” she said, ”but it was actually the funniest video I've ever done.

“And I will always remember that when I would finish a take and say, ‘Cut,’ and the take would end, I would always hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting, and one of them was my boyfriend, Travis.”

The Grammy winner adorably praised the Super Bowl champion, saying, “Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic.

Swift also thanked her collaborators, including cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto and Post Malone, who joined her on stage; production designer Ethan Tobman; and video guest stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles

“I would like to thank the following people for their support.

The “Cruel Summer” singer concluded her speech by thanking the devoted Swifts. She said, “To my fans, for making my life what it is, for making the Eras tour so exciting, for making The Tortured Poets Department so exciting, and for voting for me for this award.

Before leaving the VMA stage, Swift used her platform to encourage fans to head to the polls in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. She did so just one day after endorsing Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, “If you are 18 years of age or older, please register to vote in the very important polls that are coming up.”

This year's VMAs were big for the pop star, as she won a total of 30 times, making her the winningest artist in the awards' history. Beyonce won the award 25 times as a solo artist, while the hitmaker had previously won 23 times. (Including her work with Destiny's Child, her project with husband JAY-Z, and The Carters, Queen Bey has won a total of 30 times.)

At the 2024 ceremony, Swift won seven awards: video of the year, best collaboration, song of the summer, best direction, best editing, artist of the year, and best pop for Fortnite

Also, the film won the Best Collaboration Award.

The pop icon also made history as the first artist to win Video of the Year three years in a row: last year for “Anti-Hero” and in 2022 for “All Too Well: The Short Film.” She has now won the award a total of five times in the category, as “You Need to Calm Down” and “Bad Blood” also won in 2019 and 2015, respectively.
