Love Island USA's Season 6 reunion will stream on Monday, August 19 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. ET, and according to Deadline, host Maddix announced the special during the season 6 finale, and many Islanders will reunite four weeks after the season ends. Like the rest of Season 6, the reunion episode will be available exclusively on Peacock.
“Viewers will have the opportunity to see their favorite Islanders one last time when they come together to relive the season's drama,” Deadline reported.
For those who wonder why viewers have to wait a full month for the reunion, rather than within a week as is customary for most reality shows, the reason is probably the way “Love Island USA” is filmed. Each episode of “Love Island USA” is shown just a few days after the events at the villa in Fiji, and the contestants are sequestered the entire time, with their families usually dealing with their social media accounts outside. The month-long break between the reunion and the special gives the Islanders time to reflect and continue their relationships in the real world.
Peacock has not yet confirmed which cast members will be returning for the reunion, but it is likely that all Islanders will return. If anything, the final six couples for this season are winners Celina Paige and Cordell Beckham, Leah Kateb and Miguel Haraich, JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, Nicole Jackie and Kendall Washington, and Kayla Martin and Aaron Evans, including Cassy Castillo and Rob Rausch, are all guaranteed.
The Love Island USA team has already booked return tickets to Fiji, and Deadline reported that Peacock has given the green light for “Love Island USA” season 7 to air in November 2023. Producers are already casting new Islanders, and there is an official casting page for those interested in joining the next season.
