Paris Hilton “may” run for office.
Paris Hilton is living the regal blonde dream.
After campaigning in Washington, D.C., for the past few years and seeing how her voice can make a difference, Hilton said she doesn't dream of running for office in the future.
“After coming here so many times over the last couple of years and seeing how my voice can really make a difference and put a spotlight on what is important in the world and make it a better place and a safer place for children, it could be,” the media . personalities told journalists on Capitol Hill this week.
Hilton was in D.C. after the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act passed last week.
“I am so moved right now. I've never been more proud in my life,” she said.
“To be here today and see our bill go through Congress is one of the most incredible moments of my life.
Hilton's fight against institutional child abuse is deeply personal because of the abuse she says she suffered when she was sent to Provo Canyon School in Utah as a teenager.
After the bill passed, Hilton wrote on X, “This moment is proof that our voices matter, that we can spark change by speaking out, and that no child should have to endure the horrors of abuse in silence. I did this for my younger self and for the young people who have been senselessly deprived by the troubled child industry.”
Hilton has never run for office in earnest in the past, but once as a joke. That year was 2008, when presidential candidate John McCain used her image in a campaign ad without permission.
In response, DJ filmed a spoof campaign video for Funny or Die, in which she pointed to McCain and declared I'm Paris Hilton, I'm a celebrity. I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity. I'm just sexy.”
A flawless platform.
