But it's not just their shared distaste for cumbersome online beefs that seems to have brought them together in agreement recently; both have embraced the Yeti coat craze with shaggy shearling jackets reminiscent of the mythical zebras said to live in the Himalayan Mountains.

Gomez made her viral fashion debut with an engagement outfit that embraced the Yeti Coat trend; in a post-proposal photo published on Instagram on December 11, she wore Banana Republic jeans and a voluminous, ivory shearling-covered jacket and admiring a marquise-cut diamond engagement ring.

Just a few weeks ago, Haley Bieber's chocolate brown Yeti jacket was the star of Rohde's limited edition cinnamon roll lip tint campaign. This delicious new color is already sold out, but her Ducie Mongolian sheepskin maxi coat is still in stock.

Rihanna layered a fluffy blush pink Alaia coat over a sheer mesh corset dress at The Daily Front Row's 11th Annual Fashion Media Awards during New York Fashion Week in September, Sarah Holzman, style director of Marie Claire magazine, considers Alaïa's creative director, Pieter Murier, to be one of the contemporary architects of the trend.
