It may only be November 6, but it's safe to say this has been a crazy month, with the 2024 presidential election obviously on the horizon. The holiday season is upon us. The 70-degree, mid-autumn weather in New York City has me at a loss for what to wear every morning.

That said, any advice anyone can give me on how to relax and recharge would be most welcome. If that someone happens to be Jennifer Lopez, and she can tell me how to find “balance,” I will pay close attention.

“My self-care strategy is really about keeping my routine consistent, even during the busiest times of my life,” the actress tells me over the phone.

Indeed, this multi-hyphenate is pressed for time. The press cycle for Unstoppable is underway, and her skincare brand, J.Lo Beauty, is gearing up for gift set season. Earlier this week, she stopped by Nevada to canvas with Kamala Harris. So I truly believe her when she says you don't have to spend most of your day incorporating self-care into your life.

Her advice starts with moving. She says, “Make time to work out to stay energetic, and find time to relax and recharge-even if it's a really quick mindful breathing meditation.” (Lopez is known to train with Tracy Anderson, and you can sign up for her cardio dance classes online.)

The “Can't Get Enough” singer also makes it a priority to continue taking care of her skin in order to find a shred of peace in the chaos. She says, “The Head to Toe Glow Kit has everything I need for glowing skin, and they all have refills. I give them to my whole family,” she said.
