Courteney Cox's Home Court Holiday Candle Burns 'Sexy' for 80 Hours

“I just want it to look like I can put a plant there,” Home Court founder Courtney Cox told me via Zoom earlier this week. She emphasized the point by planting succulents in old candle jars in her home gym.

Home Court's candle collection, made of neutral stonewash and tiny lips, comes in seven different scents and is designed to be reused once burned to the bottom. Sustainability has been, and continues to be, at the core of the brand. But its latest creation, a limited edition five-wick jumbo candle, is too pretty to light. (But the fragrance is simply too luxurious to keep in a box.)

The small batches were numbered from one to 500 and hand-poured into Cox's favorite dishes at the Massachusetts factory; the XL-sized presentation makes a statement on its own, but the holiday season is perfect because of the addictive scent of the brand's signature “sesé,” a blend of cedarwood smoke, sweet cardamom, cinnamon, and white leather. I wish I could burn a candle with a cashmere blanket and a BookTok-approved romance novel. (Kristin Hannah or Colleen Hoover might be a good choice.)

The goal, Cox says, is to light all five wicks and make your home, and your person, feel sexy. It's “unique, warm, grounded in a little attitude, and spicy,” she says. The best part is that it burns slowly, so you can get a total of 80 hours of this feeling.”

I have a feeling most people will want to get this luxurious candle for their own home. If you're gifting it to your significant other, boss, or mother-in-law, the five-wick candle will be an instant hit. It's practical and upscale.” Since you're going to be spending time at home, why not make everything you do more enjoyable? Cox adds.

If candles aren't your thing, Home Court is also launching a sesay-scented diffuser with a holiday drop. It's a four-piece set that includes a matte black ceramic container, 200 ml of reed diffuser oil, black wicker reeds, and a stainless steel funnel for effortless filling.

I burn a candle, put a fresh reed turn in the diffuser, add homecoat perfume oil and sit here writing (committed, you might say). I can also confirm that CeCe is a very “sexy” scent, as Cox said. There's a reason why the Holiday Candle won Marie Claire magazine's Fragrance Award even before it was launched: it's a scent you want to burn for 80 hours.
