Zendaya changes up her trendy naked nails with a nostalgic fall-colored manicure
Zendaya, like many celebrities, spent the summer on the naked manicure trend. Most memorably, the Challengers star wore milky pink bubble bath nails with square shapes at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July. And in September, Zendaya showed off an opaque blush nude color with an even shorter natural shape at Paris Fashion Week. Loved by Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner, the naked nails are clean, elegant, and versatile. No wonder they were a big hit at Fashion Month.
However, on Thursday, October 17, Miss Z stepped out in Los Angeles wearing the first fall manicure of the season, a dark eggplant purple that almost looks black from a distance. The exact shade is yet to be confirmed, but it certainly looks like the OPI polish Kylie Jenner has been wearing since she was a teenager: Lincoln Park After Dark.Anyone old enough to remember the golden age of Tumblr probably has at least a bottle of this inky-plum lacquer. If you are old enough to remember the golden age of Tumblr, you probably have at least a bottle of this ink-plumb lacquer. That said, both Zoya and Manucurist offer similar shades of darkened eggplant.
Zenday's rest of the ensemble was nostalgic in her manicure. Of course, the crown jewel of the outfit was a rare vintage T-shirt printed with painter Gilbert Young's painting “He Ain't Heavy,” which the 28-year-old wore with a pair of brown pleated baggy pants, blue socks, and Swiss shoe company As a brand ambassador for On Running, she paired the precious graphic tee with brown pleated baggy pants, blue socks, and a pair of white sneakers. She also accented her nails with stud earrings, a gold chain necklace, and a gold cuff bracelet.
But aside from her punk-rock purple polish, the Euphoria star looked effortlessly dressed, with her honey blonde hair pulled back into a messy bun and her skin left mostly makeup-free. That's the power of freshly painted nails - even if you skimp on other glamour, you still look sophisticated.
