Will there be a “Selling the Sunset” Season 8 reunion?
Spoilers ahead for all episodes of “Selling the Sunset” Season 8. Season 8 of “Selling the Sunset” is arguably the most dramatic Netflix reality show yet. Not since Krishelle Stause's blitz divorce from Justin Hartley has this real estate docu-soap been rocked by real-life, life-altering drama. Before Season 8 was streamed, several “Selling Sunset” stars spoke out about what they saw on the prior screens. They criticized both fellow cast members and the show's producers for how they handled Chelsea Rasquani's marital conflict and Nicole Young's accusations that Emma Hernan was involved in an affair.
Since the latest episode arrived on September 6, 2024, viewers have caught up with all 11 drama-filled episodes. Since its release, stars such as Krischel, Chelsea, and Bure have continued to speak out on social media about off-camera events related to this season's drama, leaving fans with more questions than answers. Naturally, fans are wondering if the Oppenheim Group realtors will divulge all in the Season 8 reunion. Below is everything we know about the possibility of a “Sunset” Season 8 reunion.
Any post-Season 8 disagreements appear to remain off camera; on September 11, Variety reported that “Netflix will not film a Season 8 reunion.” Netflix did not comment on the report, but as the days go by without any word from the streaming giant, a reunion seems increasingly unlikely (as of September 11, the streaming giant has not yet received any word from the “Selling Sunset” cast regarding the latest season). (As of the 11th, the streaming giant has yet to address any of the criticisms regarding the latest season.)
Even before Variety's report, the show's timeline made an official reunion for Season 8 seem unlikely; Netflix had previously announced a “Selling Sunset” reunion special following Seasons 5 and 7, which was announced prior to the season premiere.
The feud between Nicole and Krischel has continued for multiple seasons, but season 8 focused on the allegations Nicole made about Emma. During the season, Nicole presented rumors from “reliable sources” that Emma was having an affair with a married man. She repeatedly brings up her claims to the camera. She also spoke to other realtors, including Bre Taisi and new cast member Alanna Gold, about the gossip, and even called Emma a “hypocrite” for allegedly supporting Chelsea while being at the center of rumors of an affair herself.
Since August 31, Krischel and Chelsea have defended Emma on social media, accusing Nicole of spreading “disgusting lies” and blaming show producers for not allowing Emma to defend herself. Emma, along with Krischelle, posted a tongue-in-cheek Instagram reel that included the caption, “When a non-confrontational best friend gets bad-mouthed,” but Emma herself has not addressed the claims.
Meanwhile, one of Nicole's closest friends, Mary Bonet, who was on screen when she first mentioned the rumor, shared her thoughts in an interview with Us Weekly.
“Emma explained it to me, but it was nothing like what Nicole said,” Mary told the magazine on September 6. Emma explained it to me, but it was totally different from what Nicole said,” Mary told the magazine on September 6. In my opinion, even if there was such a thing, I would not agree with it. But you can't do that to the world, you can't accuse somebody like that."

Mary said of Emma, “She's very picky about who she dates. So I don't think it's true. I feel sorry for her. She doesn't deserve to be called that. Especially the fact that it's not true.”
Chelsea also recounts the behind-the-scenes machinations surrounding her interview with Bure, in which Bure told Chelsea that her husband Jeff Lazkani was suspected of cheating on her. The bulk of Chelsea's Season 8 arc after this revelation began with Chelsea questioning Bre's motives for bringing up Jeff's allegations on camera and whether Bre had actively intended to ruin Chelsea's life.
On September 7, Chelsea wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that Bure intentionally had her friend Amanda Bastard on the show to share the Jeff allegations (Bure denied knowing what Amanda's tea was before filming this scene). (Chelsea also claimed that she was the one who set up the scene in which Bure told Chelsea the rumor directly.
Chelsea wrote “Number one: outside of filming, Amanda contacted Bre about the 'tea' - during filming, Bre orchestrated a fake phone call during her show 'leading to a sit down scene with Amanda' ...... In other words, she set up this scene with production.” To bring it to TV, she already knew about the tea.
She continued, ” Number 2: I would ask production what was swirling around during the shoot and ask them to set up the scene with Bree. I did this so that she could communicate directly to me and not trillions of people before me. I hope this helps.”
Bure told her side of the story in a September 10 interview with Entertainment Tonight. According to Bure, she learned of Chelsea's husband's infidelity off camera in December 2023 and was then able to call Hernan to tell Razkani. She said at that point, “Chelsea called me directly. We discussed it fully. Very clear. She knew exactly all the details and we had a good relationship”. Bure added that three months later, in March, he shot a scene with Amanda and saw the cheating receipts for the first time.
After the end of Season 8, at least two of the cast members of Sunset declared that they would leave the show rather than film with a particular cast member; in a September 4 interview with Extra, Krishel doubled down on her claim that she would not continue on the series if Nicole remained in the cast He said that he would not continue with the series if Nicole remained cast.
“I will never work on a show with her again,” she said of Nicole. 'After eight seasons of doing this and watching someone systematically try to bring down a bunch of people. Viewers don't want to see or hear this. When someone is just hungry for camera time and lies, the viewer is beyond it."
She said.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has opposed the casting of Amanda Lynn, who was teased as a possible addition to the show for the final scene of season 8; in a September 6 tweet, Chelsea referenced Amanda's past tweets that recently resurfaced, saying, “Racist If Amanda is cast, I am off the board. I will step down.”
