It's no secret that small tattoos (open in new tab) and face tattoos (open in new tab) are gaining popularity, and it looks like Amanda Bynes has jumped on the bandwagon. Last night, Amanda posted a new look on Instagram: her new tattoo is a black outline of a heart in the middle of her cheek. She also rocked a septum piercing, which she's had for a while.

Bynes didn't write anything in the caption other than an alien emoji, so it looks like we'll have to wait for the backstory. Of course, this could be a temporary tattoo, but either way, she seems happy with the result.

In November 2018, Amanda told Paper magazine (opens in new tab) that she wanted to become a fashion designer and return to acting. However, after receiving her associate's degree from FIDM in June, Amanda reportedly dropped out of college before completing her bachelor's degree in fashion.

Of her public struggles, she explained to Paper magazine: "My days of experimenting [with substances] are long gone. I'm really ashamed of how substances made me act. When I went off the drugs, I was completely back to normal and soon realized what I had done. It was a really strange feeling."

According to Entertainment Tonight (opens in new tab), Amanda recently checked out of a sober living facility and moved in with her parents while she finds a home in Los Angeles. It is not clear if she still plans to become a designer or act again.
