As we learn more about Peter Weber's season of Bachelorette contestants, what a surprise: one of the top candidates, Hannah Ann Sluss (opens in new tab), and former Bachelorette of Colton Underwood's season, Hannah Godwin (opens in new tab) are actually friends (opens in new tab). (opens in new tab) are actually friends (opens in new tab); both are models, both are young, both are from the South (Godwin is from Alabama, Sluss is from Tennessee), both are pageant girls, both are very driven in love and in life.

No matter how Sluss does this season, I can almost guarantee that she will continue to have the cutest BFFs ever and keep getting invited to the coolest weddings (yes, I'm referring to Godwin and Dylan Barber (opens in new tab), one of the sweetest Bachelor relationships) . Bachelor nation, because the cutest new couple in town are the two Hannahs.

We don't know how they met, but their photos have been on Instagram since 2018. Some of them are clearly official model shots, but some just look like cute selfies. They also have a lot of inside jokes (Thras calls Godwin a "smurf" [laughs]). Apparently Godwin introduced Sluss to the producer, according to Chris Harrison in his 2019 "Meet the Women" YouTube live stream (opens in new tab).

In other words, Sluss has been Bachelor-adjacent for some time, and her friendship with Godwin has finally propelled her into contestant territory. Whether this will be addressed on the show remains to be seen, but I hope so. What if Godwin makes a cameo appearance?

"Are you my French fries ketchup?" Sluss explained. Godwin posted the same photo (opens in new tab) and added, "My Instagram theme is literally snacks. No cool patterns or aesthetics, just snacks?"

Sluss gave her BFF a sweet shout-out when Godwin headed to The Bachelor (and then the world fell in love with her, too)." Can't wait for #bachelornation to fall in love with the sweetest / goofiest southern belle you could ever meet! Love ya Smurf."
