Doutzen Kroes gives a behind-the-scenes tour of the Dior Couture show

For Maria Grazia Chiuri's Spring 2020 Dior Haute Couture collection, Chiuri collaborated with renowned feminist artist Judy Chicago to create a show space that celebrated women and reminded everyone of their power. The duo presented a runway shaped like a womb, sending models down the catwalk clad in goddess-like items (opens in new tab). (Including a power ensemble with metallic gold fringe and a sheer, windswept, Grecian-inspired dress.)

At the end of the runway, a giant tapestry was raised, asking: what if women ruled the world? (This question is pertinent for Chiuri, who has made the Maison's support for women's rights clear since joining Dior in 2016. (Chiuri famously designed the "We Should All Be Feminists" (opens in new tab) and "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?"(opens in new tab) T-shirts. (opens in new tab), for which he famously designed the t-shirts).
