What happened to Victoria Fuller and Chase Rice?
"The Bachelor" spoilers ahead. As the latest "Bachelor" preview reveals, contestant Victoria Fuller used to date country musician Chase Rice (opens in new tab). That in itself may not be a big deal, but the producer invited Chase Rice to perform at ...... and invited Fuller and Peter Weber to the show as part of a one-on-one date (producers are getting sneakier and sneakier!). . Chaos ensues, at least according to the show's trailer. So what exactly happened between Fuller and Rice?
I mean, at this point we have no idea how long they've been dating, or seeing each other, or whatever, but Fuller still follows him on Instagram. Rice was asked about the interaction and said once and for all that he was not a fan of how it worked for the program." I wanted to go over there and promote my music.
"But [ABC's production company] brought in a little extracurricular activity there.
"They set everyone up. I didn't sign up for that," Rice explained. 'That's my problem. At the end of the day, they have a job to do. I don't have to be part of it."
"There's no love triangle. Love is on their side. Yes, yes. Not only is he pissed off at the show, but clearly nothing more is going on between him and Fuller.
As the preview clearly shows, Fuller is clearly unaware that Rice will be performing one-on-one with Weber:
Weber, however, may never know the background to all this in the way that the trailer does.
So, according to Reality Steve, Fuller and Weber get a chance to talk to Rice after the show, but apparently the beans are not spilled at that moment (I'm quite glad Rice doesn't immediately go all "Hey, Peter, Guess What"). Instead, the information seems to have been brought to him by Alaiya Benavides, whom the producers had called back to stir things up. She and Fuller got into an argument, and this may be the first time we see Fuller's "intense" side. For what it's worth, she is being portrayed as a potential villain this season (opens in new tab).
In the end, Benavidez goes home and Fuller stays for now. However, this will not be the last we hear of Fuller's behavior outside of the show. Expect her dating history (which is different from Rice's) to appear later this season. For more on Fuller and the other contestants' exploits this season, click here (opens in new tab).
