Lady Gaga Calls New Album “Corrupt,” Teases Coachella Comeback

Lady Gaga is ready to face the music. The singer and actress has been doing the latter for the past few years, but with her new album and performance at Coachella, the Mother Monster we all know and love seems to be back in full form.

“One of the things that I've probably been recognized for in my career is that I didn't stick to one thing,” Gaga explained in a new interview with the LA Times.

“But not sticking to one thing is my life force.”

The singer is out promoting the release of her highly anticipated new album, which fans are calling LG7 instead of the actual title, and letting us all know what Gaga-like magic is in store.

To give us a preview of what is to come, Gaga says of the new record, “It's filled with my love of music. It jumps genres, almost like it's corrupted."

She added, ”I've been working on it for a while now, and I'm really excited about it. [Referring to her Grammy-nominated duet with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.

“My answer to all the turmoil in my life is to find peace through love.”

The singer also teased her long-awaited return to the Coachella stage, emphasizing that it would be a different show than the last time she sang at the desert festival in 2017 (which, as you may or may not remember, she performed as a last-minute substitute for a pregnant Beyoncé)

“I'm not going to be a part of the show.

“I only had two weeks [to prepare for the show],” she said, explaining why her show was a bit more assembled (in a good way) than one would expect from a typically outlandish performer. She said, “I didn't have time to design the stage, build it, all of that stuff.

Thankfully, it appears that her show this year will be exactly the same amount of fashion and fanfare that has come to be loved and expected from the charismatic chameleon.

“I love music. I love performing. I love music fans. So I was very excited to shoot part of our film there. So we shot it, and I loved it,” he said of the part of ‘Birth of a Star’ that he filmed on location at the festival.

But she is hungry for more and seems ready to give it to us.
