Katie Holmes' shearling-lined ski jacket is the little black dress of her winter coat collection
Katie Holmes knows a good winter coat when she sees one. Next to acting, buying coats may be her greatest talent. Last winter, her love affair with Frankie Shoppe camel coats lasted three months. This season, however, she has no clear favorite so far. Instead, she's been keeping up with a constant lineup of statement outerwear, including this recent brat green stunner and a reversible shearling. In the past few weeks, I've also been reaching for a checkered trench and a duffle teddy coat. [Ienki Ienki's ski jackets are down-filled and shearling-lined, inspired by traditional Hutsur outerwear. The shape reminded me of the Leset pull-on pants that Kaia Gerber has in several styles and colors. Holmes styled those relaxed pants with flats and a designer bag, as Garber always does. The mother of one, who recently celebrated her 46th birthday, paired her Mansur Gavriel tote with Gucci black horsebit loafers.
A simple black beanie and brown gradient aviator sunglasses completed her look. Needless to say, however, the queen of winter coats is back in action.
