Prince Charles plans to meet Archie and Lilibet for Christmas.
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet may be living in California with their parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but their grandfather has not forgotten them. According to a former employee of the King, Prince Charles is eager to get in touch with his grandchildren this holiday season.
In an interview with The Sun's Fabulous magazine, Prince Charles' former royal butler Grant Harold said, “You can bet there will definitely be some (zoom) communication on Christmas Day. Definitely.” As for who Prince Charles is most looking forward to talking to on FaceTime, Harold insisted. 'We haven't talked that much about Harry and Meghan directly, but I would bet that the King would love to see his grandchildren [Lilibet and Archie] on Christmas Day.'
It is also likely that Prince Charles has arranged to deliver gifts to Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie on Christmas Day. 'The King will send presents. Likewise, [the Sussex family] will send presents to Grandma and Grandpa.”
Harold also suggested that there might be an opportunity to see the King open the presents he sent to Lilibet and Archie. 'There will be an opportunity for them to see each other,' he said.
“If they didn't use FaceTime, they would get to see their grandchildren opening the gifts he sent them.
After all, the former royal butler is confident that Prince Charles will have contact with Prince Harry's children during the holiday season. No doubt there will be communication,” Harold said.”
As for what Prince Charles may have purchased for Lilibet and Archie, Harold referred to the King's classic taste, saying, “Speaking of toys and the King, have you ever been to the Highgrove Shop? The King is very traditional.“”I don't think he would buy him an Xbox or anything like that. It's going to be something more traditional, like a wooden farm set, something along those lines."

According to Prince Charles' former butler, the King would ideally like to meet his grandchildren in person at Christmas. 'If [Prince Charles] had a choice, he would definitely want to be with everyone,' Harold told the magazine. He's very family oriented.” Harold recalled a holiday he spent at the palace with William, Harry, and their father. It was a wonderful time,” Harold said. They got along very well and everything was going well.”
The former royal steward also insisted that Prince Charles would want reconciliation after the rift between the royals. 'I've said this many times, but some of the King's people will be saddened by this time,' Harold asserted. 'Christmas is supposed to be a time to heal the rift between families. Even if you're not there in person, just talking on Zoom or something can be part of that healing process.”
