Zendaya takes on winter's most timeless coat trend.
When you get your girlfriends together for a night out, there is at least a 54% chance that they will all wear the exact same outfit. And during the winter months, that number only increases. When temperatures hit the sweet spot (around 40 degrees), suddenly everyone and their mother is living in a plain black puffer coat.
The cold weather staple is virtually inevitable five months out of the year. Whether you're a fashion bitch, maxinista, Sandy Liang girl, or goth, you can bet there's at least one black puffer hiding in your coat closet. Celebrities also love this timeless style. Kendall Jenner favors shimmery statement puffers, while Hailey Bieber and Katie Holmes adore the ankle-length quilted style. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is debuting her new collaborative skims with The North Face.
Zendaya is also a big fan of the classic black puffer and has worn many variations over the years, from knee-length and oversized to cropped and fitted. While on location for her new film “The Drama,” currently filming in Boston, she opted for a different look for an evening on Newbury Street with friends.
The actor chose a medium-length puffer with details that appeared to be a cowl neck. She wore a matching hoodie and paired it with her favorite pair of white track pants (she wore the same one in October and paired it with a $3,000 Louis Vuitton bag). To complete the black-and-white color story, Zendaya's final inclusion was a pair of simple white sneakers.
So far, her on-set wardrobe has been a montage of stylish outerwear chosen to combat the harsh New England cold. She wears several different types of coats, including a gray oversized wool coat and a similar black topcoat. Zendaya's latest puffer merely completes the winter trifecta.
