Prince William reveals a Christmas tradition he is ashamed of and is very much against.

Earlier this week, Prince William attended the Christmas party of the 1st Battalion of the Mercian Regiment by himself. As well as revealing his surprisingly low-key Christmas plans, Prince William shared his thoughts on a Christmas tradition that he finds somewhat embarrassing.

“Hello! magazine reported, Prince William met a teenager named Dylan Potter. Prince William found Potter's comments funny. Especially since the royal family was not wearing festive sweaters.

Prince William did not try to take responsibility for why he did not wear a Christmas sweater to the party. Instead, he reportedly pointed the finger at the crown prince's new passenger, Cpl. Mike Reynolds. 'I didn't know, you see that guy in the jacket, it was him.'

The Prince of Wales seemed very happy as he met with members of the military and their families. While Prince William delivered gifts to the children in attendance, he also received a few gifts of his own; according to The Sun, Prince William was presented with a drawing by 10-year-old Carson Highway. 'Is this me?' Prince William is said to have asked when he saw the picture. 'It looks like you have five nostrils.'

As for whether Prince William is preparing for the upcoming Christmas season, he apparently told partygoers, “I'm not sure.

On Mail+'s “Palace Confidential” episode, royal editor Richard Eden suggested that Prince Charles is “relieved” that he and his wife are taking on a larger public role. Eden explained, “I feel like I got a glimpse of the future this week.”

Suggesting that Kate and William are already preparing for their future roles as king and queen, Eden said, “It feels like they've taken the lead and I would say it's gone very well.
