Kate Middleton allegedly rejected the idea of having Prince Andrew sit “behind a pillar” at the Christmas carol concert.

On December 6, Kate Middleton held her annual Christmas carol concert, but one member of the royal family was reportedly not invited. According to the Daily Mail, Princess Kate allegedly refused to invite Prince Andrew to the festive event, even though he attended modestly.

Noting that King Charles recently offered an olive branch to his brother Prince Andrew, the paper's columnist Ephraim Hardcastle wrote, “William and Kate do not share love.” He continued, “One double agent whispered that for the second year in a row, the proposal to invite Andrew to Kate's annual carol service, perhaps to sit behind a pillar, was rejected.”

He wrote.

Hardcastle elaborated on the apparent neglect, noting that as many as 22 members of the royal family were in attendance. 'It was very family oriented, but... There was no seat for Uncle Andy,” Hardcastle explained.

And that's not all. According to Hardcastle, Prince Charles' many efforts to bring Andrew back into the family have been unsuccessful to date. The columnist explained, “Last year, the King tried to get W & K to patch things up at a gathering in Balmoral, convincing them to drive Andrew to church so the three of them could take a picture together.”

“This scheme failed.

Prince Andrew appears to have had a difficult year. After Prince Charles tried to remove Prince Andrew from his home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor, it was suggested that the Duke of York might be barred from attending the family's Christmas celebrations.

According to reports, Prince Andrew's “anxiety was at its height” as he tried to find the funds needed to stay in his home, and there were rumors that Prince Charles was considering taking back some of his “treasures” from the Royal Lodge. Since then, the brothers appear to have mended their fences, but Andrew's relationship with the wider royal family is perhaps more complicated.
