Queen Camilla is "vulnerable" following a diagnosis of pneumonia and her friends are "very worried"

Queen Camilla's friends seem to be spending a lot of time worrying about the royal family, who have been dealing with a number of health issues in recent weeks.

Queen Camilla, who returned from a royal tour of Australia and Samoa at the end of the 10th month, planned to return to official duties soon. However, since early May 11, Camilla has been replaced by a plethora of events for being too sick to attend. Now the new daily Beast report cites sources close to the Queen, and they are worried.

"People forget that Camilla never started becoming Queen," one source told the outlet. "She never signed up for the Hamster Wheel. She just happened to fall in love with the prince. She has risen to the demands of work, but she finds it exhausting.

Another of Camilla's friends spoke on behalf of the group and said, "We are all very concerned that this has happened. Thank goodness she seems to have recovered. Camilla just needs to rest and recover now over Christmas and I hope they drive her and the king to church on Christmas Day if it's cold!

That's not all. Camilla's friends seem concerned about all the pressures the Queen has faced throughout 2024. Getting diagnosed with pneumonia seems to have been the ultimate straw.

"Prince William said his year was 'brutal' and the 'hardest' year of his life," one source told the publication. "I humbly recommend that Camilla also had a brutal year. Getting pneumonia at her age is not a small thing. She runs down and is vulnerable and she needs to be taken care of as well.

Another of Camilla's close friends suggested that the Royal tour of Australia and Samoa was probably too much for the Queen.

"At the age of 77, shipping to the other side of the world to shake hands with thousands of people when their husband has cancer is, frankly, too much to ask," they told the outlet. "Camilla never complained and, of course, wanted to support her husband, but he should not have been put in such a situation. And she got pneumonia as a result."
