"I don't think so," he replied, before referring to some of the short comedy sequels he made for a charity event, Red Nose Day and Commissar "We actually did those mini sequels to love, and they satisfied me," he explained.
Curtis wanted to revisit Notting Hill in its own mini・sequel, but the film's star, Julia Roberts, clearly rejected the idea. Of course, Notting Hill follows an unlikely romance between Hollywood actress Anna Scott (Roberts) and British bookstore owner William Thacker (Hugh Grant). Roberts did not participate in the Notting Hill sequel, but Grant previously returned to show that the so-called "happy Ending" is a lie.
While promoting his hbo series The Undoing, Grant (via the Huffington Post) said, "I think those movies are over." I would like to do 1 sequel to my own romantic comedy that shows what happened after I was born. Really, to prove the terrible lie that they all were, that it was a happy ending.
As for how he revisits Notting Hill in particular, the actor said, "I'd like to have a horrible divorce that lasted with me and Julia, and a really expensive lawyer, [a] tug of love, children caught in a flood of tears." Psychologically hurt forever. I would like to do that movie.
Grant also reflected on his role at Notting Hill during the 11th month. 14 video interviews with Vanity Fair. "Whenever I'm flicking the channel at home after a few drinks, this comes out, I just think, "Why don't my character have any balls?"The actor said.
Grant continued, "There's a scene in this movie where [Julia Roberts' character] is in my house and Pap comes to the front door and rings the bell.Grant has also received a lot of feedback about the movie moment, "I never had a girlfriend, or in fact, now the wife does not say, "Why the hell did you stop her", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", "What's wrong with you?", ""And I really don't have the answer to that.Ultimately, Grant simply thinks his Notting Hill character is "despicable, really.""
