Queen Camilla's son says he may join the royal family for Christmas despite rumors of a feud
Queen Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles, had previously said he had never attended a royal Christmas party in Sandringham. But despite rumors of a feud with Prince William, it may be about to change in 2024.
In a new interview with the Saga, Parker Bowles explains:"I keep being asked what the Royal Christmas is like, but I've never actually been there," he says."He continued, "I told my mother about it, and from what I gather, it's pretty traditional: all the trimmings, mince pies and chestnuts
as to where he will spend Christmas this year, Parker Bowles revealed that he has a few choices. It was a great experience. "Since I divorced eight years ago, I've been spending Christmas day with my ex-wife (Sarah) — we still ride well - and family," he explained. "This year, for the first time, I don't know where I am. I might be with my mother and the king, or I might be preparing vegetables before eating a pint at a local [pub]. If I'm in charge of dinner, I like to push the boat out.
Discussing his favorite festive dish, the son of Queen Camilla said, "Turkey is great, but how about a nice beef joint.".. Or a stuffed boar head?
During the same interview, Parker Bowles sang the praises of his stepfather. "King Charles is a food hero," said the food critic. "Ask him about the number of varieties of apples in artisan British cheese and Highgrove orchards, and he knows his stuff.
Parker Bowles continued, "Back in the 70s and 80s, he was talking about farming methods and techniques, seasonal ingredients, going organic, everyone thought it was a bit woo-woo... Now it's mainstream thinking. He was ahead of his time."
Earlier this year, a Daily Beast report suggested that Prince William was more likely to spend Christmas day at home with his children. "The Wells people often do not attend Christmas lunches at the 'Big House' in Sandringham, preferring the informality of a relaxed lunch at Anmer Hall, and are unlikely to attend this year, especially if Queen Camilla invites her son Tom Parker Bowles again," the report explained.
For some reason, the Prince of Wales and his brother-in-law are not particularly intimate, and William tells the outlet that he is "nervous about Tom's somewhat ruched lifestyle.""
