"Loney" star Bryn Whitfield reveals what can be felt "helpless" about appearing on reality TV

Brynn Whitfield became an instant fan favorite when she joined the Real Housewives of New York City reboot last year, but we can admit that joining reality TV was a major turning point without any previous experience.

WHITFIELD HAS BEEN ENJOYING THE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT THOROUGHLY STARRING IN RHONY, BUT NOW IN ITS SECOND SEASON, SHE ALSO HAS A LOT TO SAY ABOUT HER LIFE LEARNED SINCE SHE OPENED UP TO DOCUMENTING ON-SCREEN ON THIS WEEK'S EPISODE OF THE Marie Claire PODCAST "A Nice STORY." The moment of being on the reality show revealed what she can feel "helpless".

The TV personality explained that it can be difficult to see the moment you might have gone wrong or later understand how someone else recognized you. "When you have a conversation with someone, you feel helpless, you know your intentions, you know what you said, you know the other 100 conversations you've had with that person before. And you look at their confession and it's 180," she says. "That's not how it went," he said. That was not my intention. That was not what happened."But somehow it was your reality. It's hard. And it feels very helpless."It's really close to your own mind, it's hard, especially if it's about a serious topic. It's really, really hard to pay back."

she explains that she has learned to deal with these kinds of interactions by feeling the "seven stages of grief." "You experience a lot of different things. You can talk to your family and friends around you who know you and remind them who you are. And then you just have to calm down and try to decide what to do and how to handle it," Whitfield says.

The reality star also shares in a "nice story" the advice she got from the housewife alum, including the beloved Luann de Lesseps, aka the Countess of Luann, Ronnie's ex

"When I saw her, [Luann] told me last week, she said, "You are very real and it takes you very far." "We're going to take you to the Whitfield Podcast," he says. "She said, "Keep being real, because people can say."

Whitfield also mentions that he admired Luann and other longtime franchise stars for being at Loney for only 2 seasons. "I'm doing this now 2 seasons, and it's funny, as a viewer, you sit there and watch and you say, "It's so easy. You will be paid for your dinner. How hard is it?"Now when I see people like Kyle (Richards) and Luann, I'm like, "Your woman is made of steel."They are scoundrels. It is not easy.

She said, "Even if it's easy, it's not easy. It's a lot. Then press the calendar and thing of shooting, and then start the circle all over again with the show airing. It is not for those with a weak heart. They are, really, just iron women. There is a lot to do this and navigate it as well as they have.

Whitfield opened up more about reality tv, her style evolution, financial security, and her decision to participate in this week's "Nice Talk" installment of "Listen to Podcasts Everywhere episodes are out."
