Bella Hadid revives the butterfly trend of the 2000s with a throwback suede blazer

Do you want to be on?! This phrase alone is enough to send millennials back in time at the moment when tyra Banks cried out.(Shivering.Bella Hadid, along with her mother Yolanda, made a guest appearance on the next top model in the Netherlands, and if that wasn't enough to stir up flashbacks on its own, her take on the butterfly trend of the 2000s would certainly do the trick.

Hadid documented her experience on the European reality show, posting behind-the-scenes photos with the crew on Instagram. In some of them, she wears an ensemble made entirely of sand-colored suede - something like that has not been seen since the Bush administration.

Her two-piece set consisted of a low-cut single-breasted suede blazer and a matching pencil skirt. Driving home the aesthetics of Y2K further, Hadid's co-ord tapped into another major motif of the decade: the butterfly trend. Swallowtails were embroidered throughout her fit, thus completing the nostalgic picture.

The model gushed over her time on the TV show and praised her mom for her talent and guidance. "Thanks to @hollandsnexttopmodelnl for having me as a guest judge. Watching my mom's work and becoming the second mom of a new generation of young creative humans is so blessed to me," she wrote in the caption, "I am so proud of your mom!

Additional images of the roundup showed Hadid embracing additional early aughts staples including a graphic T-shirt and her best denim skirt. For all intents and purposes, her cowgirl days look out.

Hadid is one of the first waves of style stars to adapt the "all suede all" mantra off the runway 1. On the fall 2024 runway, a wealth of trends have begun from brands like Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta, and are now flowing into the mainstream, thanks to influencers and celebrities like Hadid. Earlier this week, fellow Victoria's Secret fashion show model Lilamos wore cowboy boots and Sue in yeehaw fashion, but the version that brings back the butterfly trend of the Lizzie McGuire era is all Bella Hadid's own.
