Netflix's new comedy series "Inner Man" has a cozy mystery, heartwarming theme, and plenty of Ted Danson. Created by Mike Schur and based on a roughly Oscar-nominated documentary Mole Agent, the show follows a widower who takes an amazing side hustle when he teams up with a private eye to go undercover in a nursing home experiencing a wave of theft.

Ted Danson, 76, is a television legend who rose to fame in the role of Sam Malone on NBC's Cheers, where he won 2 Emmy Awards and 2 Golden Globes. In recent years, he has been nominated for an Emmy for supporting roles in FX "Damages" and starring in Nbc's "The Good Place." Other notable credits include 1987's Three Men and A Baby, CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, HBO's Curve Your Enthusiasm, and an adorable 30-year marriage to Mary Steenburgen.

Charles's daughter Emily lives a few hours away from her father, with her husband Joel and their 3-year-old son, 10. She wanted Charles to find new friends and hobbies after his mother's death, but she is surprised when she learns that he has chosen a modest spy life.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis, 45, is a Mississippi-born actress best known for her role in a television comedy, most notably playing a waitress at FX in Philadelphia with her real-life partner Charlie Day. He also appeared in Comedy Central's Reno 911.The perfect couple on NBC, the new Girl on Fox, ABC's Happy Ending, Licorice Pizza in 2021, and Taylor Swift's "Antihero" music video.

Julie is a private detective who hires Charles to go undercover in Pacific View looking for a gorgeous ruby necklace stolen from her client. After realizing that Charles is adept at modern technology, she trains him to cover the basic needs of moles.

Lilah Richcreek Estrada, 35, is a Los Angeles-born actress who began her entertainment career in the 2010s and has guest starred in several comedies including 2Broke Girls on CBS, Cougar Town on ABC, Grace and Frankie on Netflix, Dave on FX and The Wonder Years on ABC. She is best known for playing Dr. Nelly Cuevas on Nbc's Chicago Med.

Didi is the Managing Director of Pacific View Retirement Residence and leads the senior living facility with a kind and attentive hand.

Stephanie Beatrice, 43, is best known for her chameleon role as Detective Rosa Diaz on NBC's Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He has also appeared in shows and movies such as ABC's Modern Family, Fox's Bob's Burgers, Netflix's Bojack Horseman, the 2021 musical films In The Heights and Encanto, Peacock's Twisted Metal and Prime Video's Hazbin Hotel.

Virginia is 1 of the friendly residents that Charles meets when he moves to Pacific View. She initially has eyes for newcomers, but she is also occupied by her persistent ex, Elliot. Of course, the real love of her retired life is her best friend, Florence.

Sally Struthers, 77, is the actress and activist best known for her groundbreaking roles as Gloria, daughter of Archie and Edith Bunker, CBS All in The Family. She starred in the beloved role of Babette Dell in the Gilmore Girls and provided voice acting for animated characters including talespin's teenage Pebble Flintstone and Rebecca.

Florence, another resident of Pacific View, is a lover who loves poetry and the Golden State Warriors. She spends her days hanging out with her bestie Virginia.

Margaret Avery, 80, is an Oscar・nominated actress and singer, best known for her role as Shug Avery in 1985's "The Color Purple" before she joined the entertainment industry and has starred in other notable films and miniseries. The series includes "Cool Breeze" in 1972, "Which Way Is Up" in 1977, Scott Joplin, ABC's "The Jacksons: An American Dream" and "Proud Mary" in 2018. She also played Helen Patterson in the Bet series, which is Mary Jane for the entire run of the show.

Elliot is a resident female man of Pacific View, so if Charles steals the attention of all women, he naturally becomes threatened and hostile.

John Goetz, 78, is a character actor who has appeared in countless films and series over the past fifty years. The Iowa-born thespian is best known for his recurring roles in shows such as Blood Simple in 1984, The Fly (and its sequel) in 1986, Born on The Fourth of July in 1989, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead in 1991, Zodiac in 2017, The Social Network in 2010, Homeland in Showtime, Grace and Frankie in Netflix, and Bosch in Prime Video. It is also well known.

Calvert is a recent resident of Pacific View, Washington, D.C.C.He is a transplant from the United States and has become friends with Charles thanks to their shared, often stoic character.

Stephen McKinley Henderson, 75, is a prolific stage and screen actor and was named by Vulture as "one of the 32 biggest character actors working today."In recent years, Juilliard Glad has appeared in films and shows such as The Fence in 2016 (reprising the Tony Award-nominated role), Lady Bird in 2017, Wu Tan on Hulu: An American Story, Devs on FX, Dunes in 2021 and Civil War in 2024. Fun Fact: He has appeared on 2 Netflix shows, A Man on The Inside and The Madness, which premiered this month.

Susan Ruttan, 76, is a former N living next to Charles in Gladys, Pacific View.Y.C.Play based costume designer. The Oregon-born actress is best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Roxanne Melman in Los Angeles Law. She also made guest appearances on countless shows, including wb's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Pop, The Gilmore Girls, Disney Channel's Hannah Montana and Goodluck Charlie, and Netflix's American Vandals.

Susan, the nonsense president of the Residents Council of Pacific View, is played by Lori Tan Chin (76). The actress and comedian is best known for her role as Orange's Litchfield Inmate Mei Chang is the new Black, Awkward's Awkward's Grandma is Nora of Queens. Her other notable credits include Turning Red in 2022, Joy Ride in 2023, Strange Planet on Apple TV+ and Kung Fu Panda in 2024. She is also set to play a role as a voice actor in the Netflix series Gentry Chow vs. Underworld.

Eugene Cordero, 46, plays Emily's supportive husband Joel. He is a comedian, actor and writer, and has previously starred in The Good Place as Jason Mendoza's bestie Pillboi. He has mostly appeared in comedy and animated shows, including crazy ex-girlfriends on the CW, Brooklyn Nine-Nine on NBC and Star Trek: Lower Deck on Paramount+. Jaylen, an employee of Pacific View's Jack of All Trades, is played by Miles Fowler, a rising star who played a breakout role as football player Tim in the 2023 comedy Bottoms. Beatrice, hyper-positive activities director at Pacific View, is played by Jama Williamson, best known for playing Wendy, the ex-wife of Tom Haverford of Parks and Recreation, and Val, one of Michael's colleagues at The Good Place. Her other notable roles include Nickelodeon's Hollywood Heights and School of Rock, ABC's Single Parents and Prime Video's American Last.
