The season of holiday parties is upon us. Celebrity-approved label Dôen and RMS Beauty have teamed up once again to design a limited-edition kit that is as glamorous as a sequined and velvet party dress.

Dubbed the “Soiree Set,” the collaboration is an all-around ode to luxurious textures. A trio of radiant skincare and makeup products are presented in a black velvet pochette. The star of the show is Pino, RMS Beauty's long-awaited lip 2 cheek cream blush. It replaces the tragically discontinued shade of Lip2Cheek I ever named Diabolik, a rich burgundy inspired by RMS founder Rose-Marie Swift's custom color mixed for Miranda Kerr's 2013 Met Gala makeup is the closest we've come to finding one.

Swift says that with Pinot, the sister duo behind Dôen, Margaret and Catherine Cleveland, requested a shade that would make a statement without looking too dressed up. 'We wanted to bring a little more drama to the palate this time around. It's a little darker, like an aged wine stain on the lips, with a satin feel but not looking like lipstick,” Swift explains.

“It's like your lips have been kissed too much and they're throbbing,” Swift explains.

Another standout is a new shade of RMS Beauty's beloved Luminizer, a romantic cream highlight called Champagne. Unlike the Luminizer shades that make up Swift's permanent collection, Champagne has a more pigmented river of feminine pinks and warm gold shimmers flowing through it.

“It has an opacity that lends sophistication to the cheekbones rather than sparkle,” notes Swift. It “flatter[s] the skin tone and looks more moonlit with a hint of pink that goes well with the outfit.”

For the perfect party look, Swift likes to start by priming her face, chest, arms, and legs with her superfruit-powered Kakadu Beauty Oil. After kissing the high points of her face with Champagne Luminizer, she uses her fingers to blend Pinot Lip 2 Blush onto her lips and cheeks. As a final touch, I suggest applying Adriana's Legendary Lip Oil to the center of the lips. Finally, apply Eye Lights cream shadow, Super Nova in Sterling Chocolate Brown, all over the eyelid to complete the look.

“Smoke just around the eyes,” Swift recommends. Super Nova is slightly brown with a hint of purple, like Yves Saint Laurent in the late 70s and early 80s.”

It's decadent and sexy without being over-the-top. It's like a fabulous Doheny holiday party dress.
