Taylor Swift arranges her signature Chief's Game lipstick into a French twist updo

A sharp Versace skirt suit wasn't the only twist in Taylor Swift's game-day style for the Chiefs' Nov. 10 match against the Denver Broncos. The singer arrived at Arrowhead Stadium with a French Girl-approved update to her usual beauty beat to support boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift's NARS lipstick and signature hairstyle usually costume her tunnel-walk look. She wears her hair in natural waves or in an understated braided ponytail, and she gets her cheering on with denim corsets, cowboy boots, and corset dresses (the only major exception was two games ago, when she donned red and silver glitter freckles and saw sales soar 2,500% in the process). This week, however, Swift switched up his team-spirit routine with a relaxed French twist updo.

The Elas Tour star's blonde locks were teased just a bit at the top of her head and elegantly twisted back. Her bangs were brushed back and loose strands framed her face. Like her suit, this moment of beauty was all business.

The French girl-approved twist appeared only intermittently in Swift's collaboration with longtime hairstylist Gemma Mouradian. When not wearing her hair in natural curls, Swift instead straightens it with a flat iron (as she does in her Eras tour outfit) or puts it up in a low bun (as she did in a Vivienne Westwood corset gown in New York City on Friday night) .... But this is a classic style with a similar background to her famous red lip. The French twist first became popular in the 1950s and has since gone in and out of fashion many times, both in the U.S. and in France. Now, the French twist has skyrocketed on TikTok as an easy hairstyle for work.

Photos of Taylor Swift's entrance into the stadium don't show exactly how she pinned back her hair in an unusual (for her) updo. With her Versace skirt suit, knee-high stiletto boots, and vampy corset, it's clear that she has a penchant for billionaire styling. It was as if Swift were the CEO of the NFL.

Swift's team is famously tight-lipped about the products in her beauty routine. (When makeup artist Lori Turk revealed her favorite NARS lipstick, Swift's corner of the Internet couldn't believe it.) But you don't have to decipher Easter eggs to achieve her hairstyle: just twist your hair up, twirl it back, and secure it with the French twist essentials below.
