Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2024: Tyra presents “Push 2 Start” and “Water
Leave it to Tyra to “jump” the Victoria's Secret fashion show.
At the 2024VS fashion show on October 15, South African star Tyra took the stage as part of the runway event's first all-female lineup. The Grammy Award winner brought an angelic energy to the show, singing two captivating songs: “Push 2 Start” “and the breakout single” Water “.
As a medley of her songs played, the musicians emerged from the bottom of the stage, sporting their signature white feathered wings, shiny gold and white bustiers, and matching tasseled bottoms.
It was as if she had brought a slice of heaven to earth in a short but outstanding set. The singer-songwriter first sang “Push 2 Start,” a new song from the deluxe version of her debut album, Tyla+, which was just released on October 11. Her vocals were as ethereal as ever as up-and-coming models such as Alex Consani and Laila Moss strutted around her on fantastic wings.
Her set then evolved into a sultry rendition of “Water,” the first notes of which sent the audience tingling and screaming. Fog rolled in as she strutted down the catwalk and playfully shook her wings, clearly feeling herself.
This year marked a major comeback for the lingerie brand, as its last live show aired in 2018 and was canceled in 2019 due to controversy and outside complaints that it only showed one body type on the runway.
Tyra was one of the A-listers who provided live entertainment at the event, which aired live from N.Y.C., along with pop diva Cher and K-pop star/BLACKPINK member Lisa.
In a statement ahead of the big night, the South African singer spoke of her childhood connection to the event. 'Growing up, I was fascinated by the Victoria's Secret fashion show. Now I am thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage.” What's even more exciting is that it's a celebration of diversity and showcasing a wider range of beauty, making this moment truly special."

Her appearance at the fashion event comes after a big year. The R&B/pop songstress opened 2024 by winning her first Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance for her breakthrough single “Water.” The Queen of Popiano” also recently earned its first VMA, while ‘Water’ took home the trophy for Best Afrobeats Video.
Prior to her performance, Tyra also walked the red carpet for the 2024 VS Fashion Show. She wore a hot pink, floor-length gown with cutouts before changing into a bustier ensemble.
