Creator of Taylor Swift's glittery freckles sobs as star posts 2,500% sales

It's an old story: Taylor Swift wears an item. The item sold out. The brand creator sobs with gratitude.

Swift wore a beautiful, whimsical glitter freckle to Monday's Chiefs game, but fans soon found out where the freckle came from and it pretty much sold out.

The freckles are a temporary tattoo on Fazit, and while rose gold is beautiful, the gold color is sold out on Amazon at the time of writing. If you still want to get the gold now, you can purchase it as part of a multi-pack on Fazit's website.

The brand posted a video of Fazit co-founder Ariette Battelman sobbing with joy after learning that Swift wore the freckles, with the caption “POV: Taylor Swift your glitter at the Chiefs game. Wearing Freckles Brand Fazit."

On October 8, Battelman told WWD, ”In the last 12 hours, sales and web traffic have jumped over 1,000%. Urban Outfitters sold out yesterday and now every retailer is contacting us,” he said. [But hours later, the numbers were even more off the charts, with Batterman telling TMZ that sales had jumped 2,500% and that her team was “working around the clock to keep up with demand.”

The story is reminiscent of one from a few months ago, when Swift wore a Popflex purple pickleball scort to sport and the scort sold out fairly quickly.

Popflex founder Cassy Ho posted a video at the time, struggling to believe that her idol was wearing something she had designed. Like Battelman, Ho quickly set about making the shorts more available for eager swiffies and fashionistas to buy.
