Are “Love is Blind” Season 7's Garrett Josemans and Taylor Krause still dating?
“Love is Blind” Season 7 Episodes 1-6 spoilers ahead. In just the first week of episodes, Garrett Josemans and Taylor Krause have already earned the title of cutest couple of “Love is Blind” Season 7 cast members: Taylor, a 30-year-old clean energy policy consultant, and Garrett, a 33-year-old quantum physicist, in pods. They met and immediately lit a spark, bonding over everything from basketball to each other's nerdy hobbies. Despite an early stumble in an argument about Taylor's ethnicity, they bounce back and end up as one of the strongest engaged couples of the season so far.
Fans are wondering if Garrett and Taylor listened to their hearts more than their heads on their journey to the wedding, as they prepare for the season finale on October 23. Below, we explain Garrett and Taylor's relationship in “Love is Blind” Season 7 and whether they are still together after filming.
Garrett and Taylor, certified nerds, make a memorable appearance at the start of “Love is Blind” Season 7. Garrett is the guy who gets the guys to randomly start singing “Ain't No Mountain High Enough,” while Taylor explains how LIB is “retroengineering” the real world about romantic tendencies that are more physical than emotional in the real world. cool lines about how they are “retro-engineering” things. The two enter the pod and immediately hit it off when Taylor guesses Garrett's nickname “G,” realizing that they share an analytical and scientific nature and bounce off each other's natural law references and tattoos. In a subsequent confession, Taylor confided that she already had a crush on him, and she and Garrett became candidates for this season's “Person of Destiny” edit (right next to Ashley A. and Tyler).
However, they stumbled on their second (televised) date. When Garrett asked Taylor about her parents, Taylor described her mother as “an angel and a gangster” and called everyone by their first names. However, he decided not to tell Garrett his mother's first name because it would reveal “part of her look” and her ethnicity. Garrett's reaction was out of the question. He says he never thought about it and admits that he has only ever dated white girls, but also points out that her statement is very “calculating.” While I like that about you,” he adds, ”I also wonder what she's hiding.” He added, “I also wonder what she's hiding.
Taylor then admitted that she did not feel comfortable with him calling her “calculating” and explained that she believes that not saying her ethnicity is part of the LIB experience, where someone gets to know her without knowing her appearance at all. She said, “I just want to know if my emotional, intellectual, and thought processes are good enough and everything else is superfluous.” Garrett responds that he needs to know more about who Taylor is before they get engaged, but Taylor stands her ground and says she would be hurt if they didn't work out and she revealed her appearance. She says, “At some point, I need to feel like enough is enough.”
Interviewed by Today for the Season 7 premiere, Taylor explained why she did not reveal her race in the pod. 'I'm a very proud Asian woman. But I wanted to honor the experiment in a way that later on when he meets my mother or is exposed to the different Chinese traditions and traditions that we have, he can get to know that part of me.” In the pod was the only opportunity for him to love only my strengths and not be tied to my ethnicity.”
Taylor revealed that she had been “uncomfortable” in the past hearing men express certain opinions about Asian women and hoped that appearing in Love is Blind would “eliminate the possibility of reliving those experiences”.
“I wanted to take ethnicity out of the equation and get people to like our characters and personalities first,” she added.
The policy consultant also reflected on Garrett's reaction. When Garrett told me I was “calculating,” I didn't know what to do, I was gutted. I'm trying to filter things that I would otherwise never think to filter."
She added, ”I'm trying to filter things that I would otherwise never think to filter.
She added, “It was our first miscommunication. I think it was good for us that we were able to get past that.”
Despite their bumpy road, Taylor and Garrett are able (and adorable) to move forward. Taylor gave Garrett an avocado tree (...) ), so that it will bear fruit in five to seven years, i.e., in time for when she hopes to have children. Garrett gives her his father's “world famous” honey. Garrett also says he wants children soon and asks if they can compromise, but Taylor says she looks forward to a future with him. On the contrary, she says she is excited to experience new things together.
Eventually Garrett asks her to be his girlfriend, but she declines, saying that the movie he thinks of her is “Shrek.” their “situation ship” lasts several hours, and he sends her a bouquet of sunflowers (her favorite) in the ladies' lounge and says “Will you be my girlfriend' Check yes or no.”
She checks yes, and by the middle of episode 2 they are engaged. Taylor reads the proposal letter she received from her grandparents in the 1950s (BRB issue) and tells them that she is number one for nine days (out of ten days in the pod) and “can't wait to count the days left.” Garrett, who was preparing to propose, says, ” Our bodies tell us we are destined to be together. Then he asks, and she says yes.
Before the in-person reveal, the producer rehashes the couple's conversation about race, but Garrett reassures Taylor that it doesn't matter how she looks. Love may be blind, but people still have eyes, and there is a reason why everyone keeps comparing Taylor to Olivia Munn. She's gorgeous, and Garrett shivers with anxiety as he puts the ring on her finger; the two touch, compliment each other, and joke around as they compare heights.
Quickly, they go to Mexico, and Taylor and Garrett are as close as ever. In his confession, Garrett admits that in the real world he might not have approached Taylor at the bar and later explains that he would have found her intimidating and “too good for her.”
The two also have a vulnerable conversation about their adjustment from being independent to dating. One memorable moment from their first night together is when Taylor tapes Garrett's mouth so he can sleep. (Apparently, this non-snoring trick is real, but there is a special tape for it.)
The rest of Taylor and Garrett's time in Mexico is relatively subdued in the first episode of the descent (i.e., a good chance for them at the altar). They have a conversation in which Taylor warns him that he needs to take action to back up his words of love, and they discuss how their intense work might affect their relationship in the real world, which is as deep as we see in their scenes. [Both Taylor's mother Von and Garrett's mother express doubt, and at one point, at what looks like a pod reunion party, Taylor starts crying because Garrett was texting his ex-girlfriend. Whether these moments are creative edits or real problems for the two will remain to be seen.
You already know the answer: the cast of Love is Blind is tight-lipped about spoilers regarding their relationship status. The biggest reason is that Garrett follows Taylor and Taylor doesn't follow him back.
As Betches noted, Garrett and Taylor shared photos of their European vacation last May (Taylor in Switzerland, Garrett in the Netherlands), which could have been a couple getaway. Besides these posts, Reddit has found no other clues, so the two are either friends or very good at covering their tracks.
Until further episodes drop, we'll be in the dark, but their Instagram is worth perusing anyway. Taylor's page is full of travel photos and sweet moments with friends and family (plus some behind-the-scenes photos from LIB Season 7), while Garrett's is full of spearfishing and modeling at New York Fashion Week. This guy has a lot going for him.
