Ina Garten experiences beer pong for the first time at a party hosted by Taylor Swift.

Ina Garten had a rather brutal introduction to the world of beer pong.

The famed cook got her first taste of the beer drinking game after going backstage at a concert by her friend Taylor Swift, and it didn't go particularly well.

“I'm obsessed with Taylor Swift,” Garten told WSJ. magazine in a video interview.

“After the show, she invited us to a party she threw for the whole crew, and my friend Kate said, ‘Let's go play beer pong.’”

“When I got there, Abby Wambach, who had just won the World Cup in soccer, came up to me and said, ‘I'll be your advisor.’ I was like, 'Great! ' And I thought, 'Oh, my God, that's great!' I said, 'What's your advice? And she said, 'Put the fuckin' ball in the fuckin' cup! Is that your advice? [Indeed ...... Straight.

Garten and Swift have been good friends for some time, and both are big fans of each other's work.

The cook told TODAY last year about their backgrounds.

“I did a photo shoot with Taylor and we cooked together. I fell in love with her. She was 25 years old. 'This is where I first saw her! She was 16, out on the square, and I remember her assistant and I hanging out of the upstairs window like two teenagers.

Very cute.

[18] As for how the two women first officially met, Garten told People in April, “I actually met Taylor 10 years ago when Food Network magazine asked rock stars who their favorite Food Network people were, and Taylor picked me. [19] [20] “So she came over for a photo shoot for the day, and we met for a while after that. She took me out to lunch and then one day she came back to East Hampton for lunch. I admire her very much.”
