Jennifer Lopez joined the overalls trend cycle on Tuesday, July 16, cycling through the Hamptons on her second wedding anniversary with husband Ben Affleck. She wore a pair of Ralph Lauren paint-splattered overalls with Ralph Lauren leather flip-flops for a laid-back look that was uncharacteristic of the woman.

Jennifer Fisher silver hoops were Lopez's only accessory. For a multi-platinum singer and world-renowned actor, Lopez's look was rather subdued.

Jennifer Lopez enjoyed summer dress shopping with her daughter-in-law Violet Affleck in early to mid-July in the East, taking over the sidewalks of Sag Harbor in a Ralph Lauren knit sweater, relaxed jumpsuit, maxi dress, and wedge sandals ... Over the weekend, she showed her luxurious and sporty side by riding her bike in a Chanel T-shirt and flip-flops.

The Hamptons trip was Lopez's second solo (fashion) trip in a month; she enjoyed the Riviera on a June trip to Italy in a fresh matching set and Dior bag. (Lopez and husband Ben Affleck are reportedly “spending time apart” and “focusing on their loved ones,”

despite their wedding anniversary.

Lopez's paint-soaked overalls fit the carefree, “me-time” energy of her Hamptons wardrobe, while also lining up with moments of celebrity style ascent. The farmers' market overalls trend extends from Hailey Bieber (paired with a strawberry red tee) to Kendall Jenner (a pair of all-whites) to Sarah Jessica Parker (dressed up with crystal pumps).

Their appeal is very obvious. Nothing else says more about a month of rest and relaxation in the Hamptons than a pair of loose-fitting coveralls. But, with J.Lo, it won't be long before she brings back the designer bags and sky-high heels.
