Gigi Hadid can make any gas station outfit look high fashion. And that's exactly what she did as she strolled through Soho with boyfriend Bradley Cooper on Wednesday, July 10. She paired a not-so-casual handbag with her bedtime staples: gray drawstring sweatpants with a folded waist, a baby T-shirt with a smiley face logo, brown suede Birkenstocks, and sunglasses that hid her sleepy eyes.

Hadid completed her pajama look with a small Miu Miu purse in sunshine yellow and an Arcadi Matelasse Nappa quilted leather bag. For comparison, her Birkenstock Boston clogs cost $160, and her gray sweatshirt can be found at Gap for about $30. The highs and lows.

Notably, Gigi Hadid appeared in Miu Miu's 2024 bag campaign earlier this year, spotlighting the Italian fashion house's beloved Wonder purse and then-new Arcadi. Of course, she always carries this bag.

The model and founder of Guest in Residence has an off-center, stripped-down style that fills her off-center wardrobe. Just yesterday, Hadid tried on the jorts (long jean pants), a hot trend this summer, and paired them with red and white Adidas Gazelle sneakers and a Miu Miu bag in the same mustard color. Last month, she wore a trucker hat and a bikini as a top. And in late May, Hadid paired a big, slouchy red sweater with a similarly proportioned white skirt and sporty black and white (almost sold out) Adidas x Wales Bonner Sambas sneakers.

Sprinkling luxury into understated everyday attire is an old celebrity style trick. As is the recipe for pajamas + designer clothes. This week, fellow model Kaia Gerber paired a camisole tank top and sweatpants with timeless ballet flats. Blake Lively wore a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors under $100 and carried a cream and black Chanel flap bag. Jennifer Lopez, the queen of high-low dressing, paired her trusty Hermes Himalayan croc birkin bag with chunky white sneakers. And Sofia Richie, who is expecting a baby this summer, paired a baby-doll maternity dress she designed herself with $650 flip flops from The Row.
