Over the course of her decades-long career, she has been seen at some of the industry's most anticipated shows and in front rows packed with celebrities. Through her extensive front row experience, the actress knows that there is more power in a good outfit, let alone an outfit change. On her way to the Patou show at Paris Couture Fashion Week, Holmes brought her signature high-low style to the "City of Lights."

Holmes prepared for her trip on Thursday, June 27, coffee in hand. (The "Dawson's Creek" star was photographed in a laid-back, casual style, wearing a red and white striped button-down over a black and white railroad jacket during his morning walk.

The 45-year-old held a cup of coffee in one hand and wore gray sweatpants and a matching faded gray logo baseball cap over her brunette hair. She also slung a brown maxi shoulder tote bag from Madewell over her shoulder and wore purple crew socks. What stood out in her outfit, however, were chunky gray Axel Arigato sneakers.

Holmes has always been on-trend with sneakers, so it was no surprise that she was able to snag a pair of $400 shoes before her trip to Paris.

After a transatlantic flight, Holmes changed before appearing at the Fall 2024 Patou show. He chose the brand's navy blue jacket with a bright red collar lining and a white tank top underneath.

Holmes replaced her sweats and sneakers with dark wash flared denim jeans, a gold chain belt hanging loosely from her waist, and sky-high black boots. In her hand, she carried a white shoulder bag, completing her show outfit with a vibrant contrast.

Holmes usually does not stray far from her signature outfit, which consists of trusty jeans, a relaxed top, and comfortable shoes. Given that her style leans high-low, it is the actress' style to carry her immaculate wardrobe with her, even in high-fashion settings.

Holmes often pairs a pricey designer item or two with something more affordable. (In this case, she doubled down on a sweatshirt in the morning and paired it with jeans and a simple tank top for a patou couture look.)

In a recent interview with The Times, Holmes discussed her style evolution, how being a mother of one has affected her wardrobe over the years.

"When my kids were really little, I was drawn to wearing a lot of dresses. So over the years my style has changed all over the place."

She also said that living in New York has made her love practical, comfortable clothes. She said, "I usually wear ballet flats, sneakers, baggy jeans, and a T-shirt."
