Kaia Gerber is reinventing the style of travel and transforming the trend of accessories into two main ones.

Kaia Gerber usually holds some reliable silhouettes, with the rotation of her wardrobe, especially sneakers and even a pair of sophisticated headphones. But while the model and certified bookworm is re-working her old favorites, she also notes on the summer trend to incorporate into her travel style

Recently, Gerber jet—or specifically helicopter-in-style off during the anniversary weekend. When she left Manhattan by helicopter on the 26th, she put her luggage in two XXL bags, not one, and switched comfortable kicks for ballet shoes.

Gerber is a registered trademark of James Street Co.Wearing a bright cobalt blue sweater, he headed for a long weekend.Short-sleeved style featuring a black button column and a slightly cropped hem that showed off her torso sliver. She styled her top with 22-year-old Brandy Melville's black elastic pull-up pants and Mansur Gavriel's leather ballet shoes. She accessorized her off-duty look with black sunglasses and chunky gold rings. And, she replaced what is usually a book in hand for her phone with a smoothie stacked on top.

Gerber's destination has not yet been revealed, but her luggage suggested a short trip, as she was only found throwing two Maxi bags - Paloma Wool's daily Camp Nou bag and Celine Duffel bag - on her arm.

Two revival runway trends in her outfits, Ballet flats and Maxi bags (Times Two), are worth a visit. Gerber's nostalgic shoes have been on the rise for quite a long time, again surpassing the biggest shoe trend of 2024 and leading TikTok's balletcore movement. Whether they're classic leather, see-through mesh, or Mary Jane's, the ballet flats are great teens on heels and boots both on and off the runway

Gerber's choice to double down her tote is also no coincidence. As found on the runway of Fashion Week from Bottega Veneta to Fendi, carrying two designer bags at once is not only super chic but also very practical — especially if you're on the go.

Gerber has so far kept it cool and simple in terms of fashion this year. Over the past few months, the Palm Royal Star has ditched the red carpet for the most part (except for the 2024 Met Gala) and continues to show in street style instead. Even in 2024 alone, she has nailed her travel style to the T, tying her outfit with a rising sneaker trend and a reliance on chunky headphones. Gerber's MDW costume is a rare example of a model switching things around, even in the most subtle way.

Summer is near and with it, travel is quickly plunging into full swing. No matter where you're heading this season, adopt Kaia Gerber's "work smarter, not harder" cues and buy MDW outfits first.
