Bella Hadid wears the most naked dress on the red carpet in Cannes

The minute Bella Hadid touched down in Cannes, France, for her first Cannes Film Festival appearance in two years, fans wondered how she could top the vintage Versace she had last worn on the carpet. Hadid and stylist Molly Dixon responded on Monday, 5/20, with the most naked dress to decorate the film festival so far.

The model and Herlevella perfumer attended the red carpet premiere of the Apprentice, wearing a sheer, bare dress that left nothing to the imagination, thanks to Saint Laurent's Fall 2024 runway collection. The caramel brown piece featured a halter neck with gauzy, transparent fabric through the straps. It stretched to a slightly translucent ruched bodice, followed by a perfectly sheer skirt that hit just below the model's knees.

On the runway, Saint Laurent styled her dress with a coordinated head wrap and green faux fur carried to the model's arms. Hadid took her beauty and accessories in the direction of a more classic red carpet, featuring soft curls on the deep side parts and smoky eyes. The model's Cannes manicure used a semi-sheer mocha brown polish, leaning on one of the biggest shade trends of the summer of 2024 1.

She completed her styling with drop earrings by Chopard and Saint Laurent Peep Toe Pumps.

Hadid's return to Cannes Red Step comes after an extended break from the annual film festival. Last time, for the 2022 installment, she chose to soak up the archive with a 1987 Versace gown. The piece was the aesthetic opposite of her 2024 wardrobe, with a strapless black bodice and skirt contrasting with a layer of black fabric bulging around the waist. (The inch of the gown could not be considered thin.

On the 2022 Cannes tour, Hadid will be in fashion after starting the year with a range of black and white Jean Paul Gaultier dresses from the designer's Spring 2002 collection and striped Chanel Borga

Canadian tuxedos and urban cowgirl boots. I have spent the last month on a marathon. She facilitated the launch of her fragrance, Elevella, with a series of ethereal archival works, styled by Molly Dixon. Looks ranged from Roberto Cavalli's gown with a yellow corset to Saint Laurent couture with a pink hue of fresh peony. She has also dabbled in lingerie dressing with 2 corset-centric looks by Dior and Lok. But of all these outfits, it is today's Cannes dress that takes the Palm Doll for her most head-spinning look of spring.
