Except for the organizers of the 2024 Met Gala, no one knows exactly who will be walking the steps of the famous Metropolitan Museum of Art until the annual fashion benefit begins on Monday, May 6. Bella Hadid has at least hinted at attending in her latest street style.

A day after launching her own beauty brand, Ôrebella, and its debut fragrance, Hadid left her sister Gigi Hadid's apartment on May 1 in an outfit that already met the Met Gala dress code "Garden of Time"

Hadid's tan dress is from the spring 2004 Christian Dior collection, purchased by stylist Molly Dixon at vintage boutique OpulentAddict. Originally worn on the runway by supermodel Liya Kebede, it features a corseted bodice, delicate petal-like embellishments along the bodice, and a semi-sheer, fringed skirt.

After a series of cowgirl denim and ten-gallon hats, this look was one of several glamorous, lingerie-inspired moments Hadid attempted: to promote Ôrebella,Õ Hadid wore a tulle dress with a floral underlay and silver charms in and a crimson two-piece set adorned with silver charms. (What better way to visualize a fragrance with a name like "Blooming Fire" or "Window2Soul?")

A few days after the Met Gala, where the dress code is "Garden," Hadid's floral outfit may be a sign that she plans to step on the Met steps again. That would be welcome: the model has not attended since the 2022 gala, when she wore a gothic Burberry corset dress with lace tights and opera gloves.

The vintage roots of her dress are also worth noting: an exhibition at the MET Costume Institute titled "Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion" will feature archival pieces spanning four centuries. If Hadid were to step into a designer collection from the past, she would already be thinking in the spirit of this event.

Another interesting update baked into Bella's look' she may in fact be working with a stylist again. Hadid revealed in a 2022 WSJ interview that she had taken a hiatus from professional styling (although she sometimes used her sister's stylist, Mimi Cattrell, for red carpet events). This time, her vintage was pulled by Molly Dixon, who has also consulted on red carpet outfits for Sydney Sweeney, Camila Mendes, and Sadie Sink.
