If you want to know what Kim Kardashian has to do with Balenciaga, just look at her purse. Yesterday, the Skims founder posted a series of stunning shots on Instagram, showing off her all-black Prada look and Balenciaga shoe clutch.

The Balenciaga "Shoe Knife" leather clutch bag is exactly what it sounds like: a clutch shaped like a pinwheel with a zipper where her foot should go. In the photo, Kardashian is holding the jeweled shoe purse in the same hand as her cell phone (apparently because the device won't fit inside).

For the photo shoot, Kardashian wore a long black fur coat, a matching maxi skirt, and a half-corset-like bra top with a plastic buckle front closure. It was a classic Kim look: black on black, mixed textures, a little edgy but safe. And the star loves long fur coats. It looks like she worked with her new stylist, Dani Levy, to create this look.

This isn't the first time we've seen Kardashian's crystallized pinwheel clutch bag. Last December, she carried a shoe bag while sitting courtside at a Lakers game. The heel clutch is a new addition to Balenciaga's It bag, from the brand's Pre-Fall 2024 collection. It debuted on the runway just days before Kardashian was first spotted carrying the bag. The silhouette is modeled after the brand's famous "knife" high heel, also available in black.

Kardashian has long been associated with the luxury fashion brand, becoming a brand ambassador for the second time in January 2024. Kardashian "reevaluated" her relationship with Balenciaga after the 2022 scandal. The brand was accused of "child abuse" and "pedophilia" over a Christmas ad campaign featuring young children with teddy bear backpacks wrapped in "bondage gear."

"For several years, Balenciaga designs have been part of many of my looks and some of my most iconic fashion moments," Kardashian said in a statement after announcing the partnership earlier this year.
