It's not every day that Angelina Jolie makes a public appearance, but when she does, it's bound to be an unforgettable fashion moment.

On Thursday, April 11, the Oscar-winning actress attended the opening night (and after-party) of the Broadway musical The Outsiders, based on S.E. Hinton's 1967 novel and Francis Ford Coppola's 1983 film adaptation. Jolie co-produced the play, and her daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt worked as an assistant throughout the process.

Jolie transformed into a golden goddess to celebrate the premiere of the play at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater in New York City. She swept the floor in a dramatic bronze cape over a silky metallic maxi gown.

To complete the actress' look, she chose red open-toe heels, a dangling black wristlet, and chunky geometric earrings in silver and gold.

For her glamour, Jolie boasted bright red lips that perfectly matched the bold energy of her fantastic outfit, and styled her sunny blonde hair in a sweeping side part.

Jolie's 15-year-old daughter Vivienne took a more low-key approach, coordinating a charming blue jumpsuit and Converse sneakers.

The late-night event was the mother-daughter duo's first red carpet appearance since attending the premiere of the Marvel movie "Eternals" together in 2021.

On the red carpet, Jolie spoke about being a producer of Broadway shows while her daughter took on the role of an assistant backstage. Jolie told People, "Viv is a young artist who is committed to supporting others." 'I learn a lot from Justin Levine and the entire creative team.'

The actress trusts her daughter to facilitate the production of the play. She said, "[Vivienne] sets me straight. She says, 'Didn't you read the notes? She's a really tough assistant. She takes it very, very seriously."

The Outsider runs through September 1, 2024.
