If you thought Jeff Lake couldn't beat the nail-biting ending of "Manifest" Season 3, then you haven't yet seen the final episode of "Manifest" Season 4, Part 1. And if you haven't seen it yet, come back later. Another tragic and unexpected death (still recovering from the grief of losing Grace!) ) to the future of Alpha Sapphire and the characters who have absorbed its power (literally in Angelina's case). And did I mention that the fate of the entire world is now at stake, not just those aboard Flight 828?

Zeke, who has been suffering under the burden of feeling that, well, everything throughout this season, learns that only Cal can save not only the passengers of Flight 828, but the entire world from a mortal fate. Unfortunately, Cal's cancer has returned and he has been given a life expectancy. This puts Zeke in an impossible situation. Although he has escaped his own "day of death" (he and Mikaela just celebrated their wedding anniversary!) ), he is the only one who can save Cal. So he absorbs Cal's cancer through empathy (yes, I just wrote that sentence) and dies in Micaela's arms next to Cal's bed.

But the show increasingly blurs the line between life and death, and Mikaela and Zeke still have it. Creator Lake told TheWrap, "Hopefully, the consciousness of God will give [Mikaela and Zeke] a chance to communicate with each other."

With Kal freed from cancer and revealed to be a dragon, the only person who can save the entire world from a death date, the ending of Season 4 Part 1 set up a huge showdown between him and Angelina, the Big Bad of the fourth season. Cal eventually succeeded in shattering the Omega Sapphire and destroying Angelina, proving himself to be the dragon who could save the entire world, but Angelina herself emerged from the church with a piece of the Omega Sapphire embedded in her hand, making her more powerful than ever.

Speaking to Variety, Rake said: "[Angelina] is now more powerful than ever, and whatever dark forces or dark powers exist in the universe of this TV show, she now embodies them. And whatever (Omega) Sapphire is needed to save the passengers, Angelina is needed to find their salvation. When our heroes discover Angelina's existence, it will be a tremendous surprise. [Angelina is a self-proclaimed archangel to "bring vengeance to evil and justice to salvation," Cal to, well, save everyone. Whatever happens in Season 4 Part 2, when Manifesto returns, there is sure to be an apocalyptic showdown between the two.

Meanwhile, things are looking bad for the remaining 828 passengers. (They disappear in flight for five years without realizing it, and become enemy number one as soon as they land.) When Angelina loses Eden for the second time, this time by Eden's choice, when Eden chooses to be with her father instead of with Angelina, Angelina begins to scream.

People were understandably quite panicked by hundreds of people screaming randomly at once, so much so that by the end of the episode all the passengers on Flight 828 were detained. So by the end of the episode, all 828 people were detained.
