Billy Porter's Feather Train is a dream wedding look

Billy Porter hit the red carpet at the Golden Globes (opens in new tab). The star of The Posse (and tonight's nominee) never disappoints when it comes to dressing for awards ceremonies (remember the incredible tuxedo dress he wore to last year's Oscars, or the pink and red tulle dress he wore to the Tony Awards), but tonight's outfit exceeds all expectations: it's not only regal, it's bridal. And it makes you question everything.

First, thanks to the incredible feather train, Porter's look needs helpers. Alex Vinash's (open in new tab) custom-made, all-white tuxedo, which Porter said took three months to make (at the time the Globes had not yet been announced, so it was made in the "hope" of being nominated and being able to wear it tonight), is so practical and genius One feature: the train is removable. These wings can be put on and taken off with a zipper. Genius. It's not a sitting garment, it's a standing garment," Porter told Ryan Seacrest in an interview with E! Porter completed the look with Jimmy Choo shoes and Tiffany jewelry. Perfect.

This look upsets me: so good! I got married this summer, and why didn't I wear a white tuxedo with removable horseshoes? I made so many mistakes! Zip on, zip off! I am devastated! I don't know if I could have dressed as brilliantly as Porter, but I really wanted to try! But I wanted to try! I might demand a do-over. If you're going to borrow Billy's jacket, you might as well ask if you can steal the velvet litters and cast of men he used to enter the 2019 Met Gala!

Billy Porter FTW.
