Princess Charlotte clearly bears a striking resemblance to her father, so much so that when the Cambridges visited Bradford (open in new tab) today, Prince William literally could not distinguish whether it was his daughter (open in new tab) or his younger self in the picture.

While in the West Yorkshire town, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stopped by the Khidmat Community Center, where they were presented with a cake and cupcakes featuring family photos. 'There is a cake atmosphere in Bradford. I saw a lot of cakes today," William joked, praising the work of baker Siamah Ali (open in new tab) as "incredible." His wife, Kate, was equally impressed, saying the designs were "very clever."

But upon closer inspection, Prince William was particularly surprised by one photo in particular." Is this me?" He asked repeatedly." Because you look just like Charlotte."

In the following video, shared on Twitter by royal reporter Emily Andrews, it is a little hard to hear, but it sounds as if Prince William is asking Kate, "Does this look like Charlotte?" she asks, sounding like she is asking, "Does she look like Charlotte? She then replies, "You look just like Charlotte, that's funny."

The prince is also clearly heard saying, "Oh my goodness."

The clip ends with William once again complimenting the cake baker.

"Amazing. Honestly, Mary Berry would be thrilled."

Earlier in the day, William chatted with the crowd and said that Charlotte could not come for today's visit because she was back at school. However, according to Andrews, questions about his brother Harry and ongoing discussions about the Sussexes' plans to step down from their royal role were "politely ignored." (opens in new tab)
