Fact: Charlize Theron always looks gorgeous on the red carpet. Even on the red carpet of one of Hollywood's most important events, the Academy Awards (opens in new tab), the actress' fashion was A-list. Theron hit the red carpet in a black Dior Haute Couture gown with a peplum hem, plunging shoulder straps, and a long train that trailed behind her. The black gown was classic and sexy with a thigh-high slit down her left leg. The slit revealed a pair of black strappy heels.

Theron posed up a storm on the red carpet (as I would if I were wearing that dress) and her mother, Gerda Jacoba Aletta Maritz, was next to her as Theron's date. She is nominated for Best Actress for Bombshell. If she wins tonight, it will be her second Oscar (she won in 2004 for her portrayal of real-life serial killer Irene Unos in "Monster").
