Meghan Markle, Gigi Hadid and twins wear Emilia Wickstead capes

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is making headlines for the stunning all-green outfit (opens in new tab) she wore to conclude her duties as a senior member of the Royal Family. The Commonwealth Day (opens in new tab) ensemble included an emerald green cape dress by Emilia Wickstead, a matching hat by William Chambers, nude stiletto pumps by Aquazzura, and a mini bag by Gabriella Hearst.

If the sweeping cape silhouette looks familiar, it may be because it closely resembles an outfit Gigi Hadid wore last year.

The supermodel wore what can only be described as a power jumpsuit (also by Emilia Wickstead) when she attended Variety's "Power of Women" event last April. Hadid's bright blue jumpsuit also included a cape that wrapped around her neck and draped over one shoulder.

Thanks to each other's designers, this (t)he winning moment propelled both women to strong positions at their respective events.

Attending Commonwealth Day today was the last royal event for Meghan and Prince Harry. At the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, Harry and Meghan were reunited in public with Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (opens in new tab), for the first time since announcing their royal resignations.
