One World: Concert "Together at Home

ICYMI, ONE WORLD: Together at Home's Virtual Benefit Concert is going to be big. It is a worldwide event that will be streamed on April 18, 2020, at 8 p.m. EST. The concert will benefit those in need during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including frontline medical workers, first responders, and those in need of food and shelter during this volatile time. This is not a concert in the traditional sense, with famous performers and speakers live-streaming or recording from their homes or offices. Thanks to social distance, there is no live audience, but we, the home-based audience, have many opportunities to see and hear. Here is all we know so far and what you might see if you tune in

Do you have a TV or smart phone? Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are streaming. In the US, ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS, iHeartMedia, and Bell Media are broadcasting. Seriously, there are many ways to watch, and you should be able to find free options (I usually default to Instagram and watch past #TogetheratHome virtual concerts featuring stars like Chris Martin and John Legend (I do).

The promo lists even more ways to watch, including via Yahoo:

Also, Global Citizen (opens in new tab) lists all services that screen the special in some form.

Frankly, some of this stuff looks really good. Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert are co-hosts, and they are guaranteed to make you laugh:

And the initial lineup includes Alanis Morissette, Billy Irish, Chris Martin, Elton John, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, and Rizzo, and was to include Priyanka Chopra and Kerry Washington. Also Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Awkwafina, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer Lopez, LL COOL J, Lupita Nyongo, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Usher, and Victoria Beckham were also added to the recent cast. Meghan Trainor has also decided to appear. Honestly, just a glimpse of our favorite celebs (and maybe even inside their homes!) ), it's worth a watch.
