Summer is here. The warmer weather brings plenty of inspiration for bright and colorful makeup moments (open in new tab) to commemorate one of the happiest times of the year. Summer trips and outdoor boozy brunches require less effort and more impactful makeup (open in new tab). Celebrate this new season of getting outside with a non-boring beauty look that you'll want to show off to strangers.

Marie Claire reached out to trendsetting celebrities and editorial makeup artists to learn about the biggest makeup trends we'll be seeing in the coming months. From 80s inspiration straight from the runway to simple graphic liners, scroll through and save these screenshot-worthy beauty shots. [According to YSL Beauty makeup artist Nour Aga (opens in new tab), "This trend can be achieved with less product than you might think. Says Aga, "This trend focuses on achieving a post-facial glow with the least amount of product."

"To achieve this look, first nourish the skin with Pure Shot Perfect Plumper Cream ($88), then unify the complexion naturally with a dab of Touch Eclat All-in-One Glow ($48). Once the base is flawless, illuminate your features with the iconic Touch Eclat pen ($35).

This summer is all about the eyes, says celebrity makeup artist Gio Hennings. To look kind to your eyes, you'll need a few effective products. Plenty of mascara. 'A lot of people will be powering up their mascara this summer,' Hennings says. 'I'm loving the One Click Beauty b.ACTIVE 3-Piece Eye Kit (opens in a new tab) ($24).'

To take it to another level, the kit comes with a great liquid liner and nude eyeshadow stick to really make your mascara pop. To really make the eyes a window to the soul, try adding Ardell's Knotless 3D Lash (open in new tab) ($7) to just the outer corners of the eyes.

When the worlds of makeup and skincare collide, beautiful products are born. Christie Noga, national makeup artist for Givenchy Beauty (opens in new tab), agrees. Noga explains, "Skincare has been a hot topic in quarantine for the past few months, but combining skincare with your favorite beauty products keeps things simple." Le Rose Perfect Liquid Balm (opens in new tab) ($36) is a moisturizing liquid lip color in a variety of shades enriched with vitamin A, cranberry oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter. It provides hydration, anti-aging benefits, and gorgeous color. Shade #17 Nude Chill is the quintessential summer color for natural, glossy lips."

There are certainly ways to look glossy and matte at the same time. To blend the best of both worlds, Aga suggests combining fresh skin with a bold matte lip. Aga explains, "The key to this trend is flawless, radiant skin."

"To achieve this look, wet a beauty sponge and add one push of All Hours Foundation ($54). Once the base is built, apply Touch Eclat ($35) to the high points of the face and finish with Tatwaje Velvet Cream ($37) on the lips for a bold color.

When the skin is scorching hot, a sweaty look is inevitable, unless you have a convenient blending powder within reach. In the summer, it's hard to look radiant without looking shiny," says Noga. A dab of Prism Libre Powder (open in new tab) ($58) "easily mattifies, blurs, and brightens. Available in a variety of shades for all skin tones, the lightweight texture blurs fine lines and leaves your complexion looking flawless all day long."

You've worn that basic black mascara long enough - this summer you're in search of color. Says Hennings. 'My secret weapon, which is making a comeback these days, is tinted mascara. 'Blue or purple is my go-to. I recommend Maybelline's Snapscara ($8), which comes in a variety of colors, including ultra violet and Deja Blue. Tip: Use it as a top coat at the end of your mascara for a deep pop of color at the lash line." [This modern look consists of a euphoric look with chunky glitter," says Aga. "With your fingers, press one or two shades of Sequin Crush Eyeshadow ($30) all over the eyelid. Faux-Silk Volume Effects Mascara ($29) is used to make lashes fuller.

Glowing skin isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Even when you're sitting at your desk, you're here to grab a vacation glow all summer long. Chanel makeup artist Cyndle K. (opens in new tab), a bronzer, confirms that I just left the beach glow is easily attainable with the right products." Says Cyndle, "One of my favorite products for creating the look of gorgeous, sun-kissed skin without sun damage is the Chanel Le Beige Water Fresh Tint (opens in new tab) ($65).

"It's a lightweight tint that evens out the skin without covering freckles or looking heavy. Then, using a foundation brush, apply Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream (open in new tab) ($50) to cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, and other naturally sun-exposed areas. Also looks beautiful on the eyes for a monochromatic look."

Summer is the perfect time to channel your inner Grace Jones and go crazy with color. Professional makeup artist Keita Moore (open in new tab) predicts that neon-colored eyeshadows like bright blues and neon greens will be a mainstay this summer. Moore, who says, "The '80s are making a comeback," suggests starting with Danessa Myricks Waterproof Cream Vivid Palette (open in new tab) ($36).

Dior makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani (open in new tab) agrees that it's going to be a really colorful summer. The latest fashion shows were full of neons, corals, bright orange-reds, saffrons, and greens," she says. And these trends will be reflected in makeup, too. Have fun experimenting with colorful eyeshadows. I especially like the new Dior Glow Vibes 5 Cools Eyeshadow Palette (opens in new tab) ($63)."

Get inspiration to up your toned-down blush a few notches this summer. Moore advises, "A pop of pink, peach, or magenta on the cheeks would be for those who like to pump it up a bit."

"I would pair a strong blush with natural eyeshadow and subtle shades on the lips." Maybelline's Cheek Heat Gel Cream Blush (open in new tab) ($7) is perfect for summer skin. I also recently tried the new Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush (open in new tab) ($20) and they quickly became my favorite."

"After months of being sequestered in their homes, many will become more daring and enjoy makeup more than ever," predicts Shindle.

"Makeup is a mood enhancer, and color is therapy for many of us. Graphic Liner loves to play with multiple shades of metallic liquid liner. One of my favorite color combinations is Gris Argent and Rouge Noir in Le Liner de Chanel (open in new tab) ($35)."

Graphic liner can also be done with eyeshadow. 'I recommend using a wet eyeliner brush or a tapered, small angled brush that contains the shadow and is used like a liner,' she explains. Another fun way to incorporate color is with a reverse smokey eye, using color only on the lower lash line."

Fact: A surefire way to elevate any makeup look is with a bright lipstick. And this summer is no exception, says celebrity makeup artist Joey Maalouf (opens in new tab). "For the most vibrant effect with minimal effort, lip bright colors like Nars Lipstick in Inappropriate Red (opens in new tab) ($26), an inappropriate shade with loads of L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black (opens in new tab) ($9), and the classic summer look Is.

Bedrani wants you to try bright coral or bold orange lips if you don't already have them." She recommends, "I especially love Dior Addict Stella Halo Shine in Superstar 669 (open in new tab) ($38)." It's a beautiful coral color and the smooth texture makes it easy to use as a tint or pair a few coats with a lip liner to make a bold statement."

"I predict a shift in beauty," Maalouf shares. I feel like the isolation we are experiencing now is awakening something in all of us and making us value our time and ourselves more"

Everyone will be exploring their naturalness and ways to look and feel sexy with less effort. Cream blush instantly creates a "feel reborn" vibe, and Stila Convertible Color Cream Blush (opens in new tab) ($25) is one of my favorites.
