Princess Beatrice's royal wedding theme was "Secret Garden."

Princess Beatrice was originally scheduled to be married in London on May 29, with an outdoor reception at Buckingham Palace. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the royal bride was forced to postpone the wedding and change the venue.

She married her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, in an intimate ceremony in Windsor on Friday. Sources close to the couple told Town & Country that the wedding had a "secret garden" theme, with a service at the Royal Lodge's All Saints' Royal Chapel (opens in new tab) followed by a "small reception."

That same source previously shared that fewer than 20 people were invited to the event and that while the wedding was a surprise to the public, it had been "planned for a while" and "to fit the Queen's schedule."

The couple has decided not to post wedding photos yet so as not to overshadow Captain Tom Moore's commissioning ceremony (opens in new tab), which took place yesterday, but at least one image from this special occasion is expected to be shared.

Yesterday, Buckingham Palace confirmed this happy news in a brief statement:

The private wedding of Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. The ceremony took place at the Royal Chapel of All Saints. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, and close relatives attended this small ceremony. The wedding ceremony was conducted in accordance with all relevant government guidelines.

Edo's son Wolfie also attended the event and played an "important role" in the ceremony, sources told Town & Country.
