Meghan Seastallion opened up a bit to her Instagram followers about how she is recovering physically and mentally after being shot multiple times in the leg (opens in new tab) and undergoing surgery to remove the bullets, according to Entertainment Tonight (new tab), she said during an Instagram Live Q&A on Thursday night that she felt "very betrayed" by her friends, but is determined to stay strong, upbeat, and moving forward.

Meghan previously spoke out (open in new tab) when rumors circulated that she had been arrested. Instead, fellow performer Tory Lanez was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, and according to TMZ (opens in new tab), he allegedly shot Megan. Meghan explained that the police actually drove her to the hospital

and that she was not the one who shot him, but that he was the one who shot her.

In a new Instagram Live, a fan asked Meghan how she felt after being shot. 'It really drove me crazy. I was like, 'Why did he shoot me?' It was insane. Some people think it's funny, some people think it's a joke. But I'm not ashamed of who I am, and I'm not ashamed of what I've been through.

"It's not fun, bitch," she added. 'I don't understand. I feel betrayed by my friends. I feel betrayed by all my friends. I'm so shocked, I'm so scared. But I want everyone to know that I'm not someone who can stay depressed forever. I don't like to be a victim. I don't like to feel like, 'Oh my God, Megan, something is wrong. I like to be cheerful. I like to be happy."

Megan previously addressed her experience (open in new tab) in an emotional Instagram Live in late July. It was the first time she spoke about what happened to her that night. 'I was shot in both legs and had to have surgery to take the bullets out,' she said. I didn't think I was going to cry. I had to have the surgery. I was super scared. It's not funny, it's not a joke. It's not funny, it's not a joke.

"I never laid a hand on anyone," she continued. 'I didn't deserve to be shot. I didn't do anything. I thank God that the bullet did not touch my bones. It didn't even tear a tendon. I'm sure my mom, dad, and grandma cared about me.

She touched on what she learned from the incident about choosing friends who respond to the good energy you give. 'I'm very kind,' she said. 'Imagine being 25 years old with no parents. My mom was the best person for me. So you have to try to fill your space with people who are going to make you happy." I was just trying to move really fast, I feel like I was moving too fast. "I wasn't taking enough time for myself. I thought I was ready to be with a bunch of "damn" people. I thought I was ready to give good energy to the others, but the others weren't ready to give good energy to me. But I definitely had to sit back and pray.
