I never thought I needed it before, but now I can't let it go: Meghan Markle on tough, honest journalism. On Friday, she interviewed Emily Ramshaw, co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit newsroom 19th News (opens in new tab), for The 19th Represents Summit. Princess Meghan moderated the event and was able to answer several questions about her experience as a biracial woman and mother. Referring to her recent move to Los Angeles with Prince Harry and Archie,

Princess Meghan said, "It was very sad to see where our country was at that time. If there's a silver lining there, it's that in the weeks after George Floyd was murdered, you see peaceful protests, you see people speaking out, you see people actually doing their part. ...... I can tell you it went from sadness to absolute inspiration.

She continued: "From my perspective, this is not the first time that racism and unconscious prejudice have been at the root of this. I can use my voice in a way that I haven't been able to do recently. So, yeah, it's good to be home."

On this occasion, Meghan wore a peach Hugo Boss top with Cartier and Monica Vinader bracelets.

The Duchess also praised the Rumshaw and its organization, saying she is always looking for higher quality journalism. She and Harry are currently engaged in a legal battle (open in new tab) with a number of British tabloids.

"What's so fascinating, at least from my perspective and my personal experience over the last few years, is that just a headline, just a clickbait, can make an impression," Megan said of her experience with the media. 'It's part of how we come to see the world and how we interact with other people.'
