Read MoreMany of us have just one piece of jewelry that is steeped in history or has sentimental value. In our new video series, Precious Metals, we share the jewelry stories of some of our favorite celebrities, influencers, and power players. In this episode, model Martha Hunt goes inside a jewelry box to show off her favorite arm candy, including a dazzling bracelet and a powerful necklace with an inspiring back story. As Bulgari's newest U.S. ambassador, her jewelry collections are as stunning as you might expect.
"Jewelry brings me joy because it is the ultimate self-expression. 'I want to show the world my best self. I want to put my best self forward. And when I wear my most fabulous jewelry, I feel like a queen."
Hunt adores Bulgari's B.ZERO1 ring (opens in new tab) and the brand's Serpenti bracelet (opens in new tab). I can't get enough of the elegance of this [bracelet]," he says. I love the elegance of this bracelet," she says, "because when I wear it, I feel powerful. There is nothing like diamonds to transform your mood and make you feel like the most wonderful person on earth. Even when I'm having a bad day, it makes me feel really chic." [She's also been wearing a couple of other things, including an engagement ring from her fiancé, Jason McDonald (they announced their engagement in January), and a vintage Rolex her father got her from her grandfather. And Hunt got a little emotional about helping design a necklace made of the same titanium as her spine.
"I have scoliosis, and I made this necklace for a scoliosis support group called Curvy Girl Scoliosis (open in new tab). It says inégal (open with a new tab) on one side, which is French for uneven, or uneven spine, but it can mean anything these days. Many of us are feeling uneven these days, and that is totally understandable. And on one side it says resilient. I truly believe that going through this sclerotic journey is a testament to your resilience.
After Hunt showed us her jewelry collection, it was clear that she has great taste in jewelry.
